At Houghton-on-the-Hill Primary School, we believe that high-quality Design & Technology education inspires children to think creatively, solve real-world problems and make a positive difference. Through engaging, hands-on projects, pupils design and create meaningful products while developing practical skills, resilience, innovation and confidence.

Our curriculum provides children with opportunities to design, make and evaluate products across a range of contexts, drawing on knowledge and skills from areas such as mechanisms, structures, textiles, food and nutrition, and electrical systems. Through practical experiences, pupils learn to think critically, work collaboratively and apply their learning to purposeful design challenges.
