At Houghton-on-the-Hill Primary School, we believe that great Design & Technology learning inspires children to think creatively, solve problems and make a difference. Through exciting, hands-on projects, pupils design and create meaningful products while developing practical skills, resilience and innovation.

Our Design & Technology curriculum is centred around a simple but powerful principle: creating Something for Somebody with Some Purpose. Whether designing moving picture books for younger children, creating healthy recipes for community events, or building fairground rides using mechanical and electrical systems, every project gives children a real purpose and audience for their work.
